We pride ourselves on providing the latest up-to-date technology so our patients can have the advanced, modern dentistry they need and deserve.
The CEREC system allows us to create crowns and other restorations right here in our office while you wait. Once Dr. Schulte has determined that you need a crown, we'll begin by prepping the tooth. Next, we take digital impressions using the system's special camera. These images are uploaded to the system's software, and then your dentist will design your restoration. Next, the design is sent to the machine that molds your tooth from a color-matched block of porcelain.
Our patients appreciate the customized design and convenience of CEREC crowns, and we're sure you will, too.
Your safety is incredibly important to us, and it is absolutely vital that you are treated in a clean room with sterile instruments. We take special care and use the latest sterilization techniques to make sure that your health is never compromised. Our instrument washer, sterilization cassettes, and new autoclaves help us ensure this high level of cleanliness. Each instrument is wrapped, sterilized, and safely stored until you are in the treatment room.
Dental lasers allow us to perform a number of treatments with greater precision, accuracy, and comfort than ever before. Plus, the laser often reduces bleeding and healing time. We use our laser to:
- Treat periodontal disease
- Remove canker sores or other lesions
- Perform biopsies
- Perform frenectomies
- Sculpt gum tissue to improve the length and appearance of teeth
- Remove decayed portions of tooth structure while maintaining a greater amount of healthy tooth
Digital x-rays are one of the most important preventive procedures we have. They give us the information we need to track development, determine the severity of dental concerns, and identify developing problems at their earliest stages. The earlier we know about a problem (and the more information we have), the easier it is to treat it.
Digital x-rays have several advantages over older, film x-rays. They use about 80 to 90 percent less radiation, making them incredibly safe. They also develop almost instantly and are viewed on a computer monitor. This allows us to zoom in or rotate the image and even highlight certain areas so that you can more easily see what we see. This improves our ability to accurately communicate our concerns to you so you can make informed decisions about your care and treatment. Plus, since digital x-rays don't require chemicals to develop or film to store, they are much better for the environment.
