COVID-19

We hope this letter finds you in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the past weeks and months, but we are looking forward to getting back to our normal routines. While things have certainly changed, our commitment to your oral health and safety remains our priority. Infection control has always been an important part of our practice. We’ve been ramping up our sterilization procedures and you may have noticed our recent installation of a state-of-the-art sterilization center.

We closely follow recommendations made by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). As recommendations change, our office is adapting to make sure your care is as safe and comfortable as possible.

You may notice some changes during your next visit. They include:

  • Pre-treatment screening for COVID-19 symptoms or possibly of exposure. You will be asked prior to your appointment and again upon arrival in the office.
  • We ask that you wear a mask or cloth covering when visiting the office (of course this will be removed during any dental treatment).
  • We will provide hand sanitizer in the reception room and ask that you please use it upon arrival.
  • Your temperature will be recorded upon arrival. If you exhibit a temperature of 100.4 degrees or higher, you will be asked to leave the office and contact your medical provider.
  • All possible germ-carrying materials (magazines, toys, etc.) have been removed from the waiting room and the area will be disinfected multiple times per day.
  • Please arrive in the office no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time
  • Only patients being seen enter the office. If the patient requires a chaperone, then one person may accompany them.
  • We will be staggering schedules to reduce the number of people in the reception area as well as dedicating an additional 1 hour per day to cleaning and disinfecting the facility.

We look forward to seeing our friends and neighbors again and happy to answer any questions you may have about your oral health or the steps we’re taking to make sure we can safely get back to our normal routines. Please call us at 651-698-0848.

Sincerely,

Dr. Nick Schulte and The Staff of Brimhall Dentistry
