At Brimhall Dentistry, we provide cutting edge health diagnoses. Oral examinations and digital x-rays allow us to determine cavities, tooth infection and decay, and more.
At the St. Paul dental office of Dr. Nick Schulte, we take detailed 3-D images using a system called GALILEOS, which allows us to determine the shape and health of your bone and oral health.
What Is a 3-D Cone Beam X-Ray?
The GALILEOS system uses a cone beam to take images of your teeth and the surrounding structures. It allows us to have a clear, panoramic view of your teeth.
It’s called a cone beam because the beam that is sent out to take the images resembles a cone. The machine works its way around your head, taking pictures as it goes, which will be put together so that we can see a 3-D image of your teeth.
What Are the Advantages of the GALILEOS System?
Unlike traditional film x-rays, the images that GALILEOS provides are viewable on a computer monitor. Using specialized software, we can zoom in and take special care of each image. We can also rotate images and allow our dentists to provide durable, efficient treatment plans at our St. Paul dental office. Dr. Schulte and his amazing dental team is your hard-working dentist in St. Paul, MN.
